The Feature Films Program

Where Stories become cinema

Open to teams of Saudi, Arab, Asian, and African filmmakers and producers, this intensive creative and professional training program will take your project from idea to reality.

Directors’ Program

Open to Saudi and international directors, this one-of-a-kind mentoring program is designed to nurture the next wave of filmmaking talent. In collaboration with iconic director Spike Lee, the Red Sea Labs invites emerging voices to take part in an intensive, hands-on experience that will elevate their craft and expand their cinematic perspective.

Music and Sound Lab

An intensive eight-day experience designed to elevate the artistry of composers specializing in film scoring. Participants will engage in hands-on workshops, insightful guest lectures, and valuable networking opportunities, all while connecting with fellow creatives from the Arab, African, and Asian regions.

This program is open to all intermediate and professional composers in the industry, offering a unique platform to refine your craft and expand your horizons.

The SeriesLab

The Red Sea Labs introduces the second edition of the SeriesLab, in partnership with Film Independent, to support writers and creators from the Arab world, Africa, and Asia in developing and pitching their TV series.

Short film klinik

The Goethe-Institute and the Red Sea Film Festival, in cooperation with the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, Ludwigsburg (Germany) is a unique three-part scriptwriting clinic that leads to the production of three final films in the category Live Action Short Film.

Middle east Media Initiative (MEMI)

The Middle East Media Initiative (MEMI) is an innovative professional exchange program established at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. The workshop will focus on Television Writing and Development.

Music for Film

The Music for Film Lab is a 7 day intensive hands on program. The aim of this program is to train composers into the art and the craft of film scoring, its unique aspects, its diverse vocabulary, technological tools and the layers of skill sets that the modern film composer needs to possess in order to create & deliver an original score of the industry’s highest standards.
