Open to Saudi and international directors, this one-of-a-kind mentoring program is designed to nurture the next wave of filmmaking talent. In collaboration with iconic director Spike Lee, the Red Sea Labs invites emerging voices to take part in an intensive, hands-on experience that will elevate their craft and expand their cinematic perspective.
Held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Directors’ Program offers selected participants direct access to mentorship from Spike Lee—one of the most influential figures in global cinema. Over the course of four transformative days, directors will explore their creative voice, gain valuable industry insights, and refine their storytelling approach through group work, and one-on-one guidance.
From story structure and character development to visual style and directing techniques, the program is built to inspire, challenge, and empower a new generation of filmmakers ready to take their careers to the next level.
