The Red Sea International Film Festival announced today that Egyptian cinema icon Yousra will receive GOLD YUSR Honorary Awards at the opening ceremony of the Festivals’ second edition in Jeddah on the Eastern shore of the Red Sea.
Along with acclaimed British director Guy Ritchie and the legendary Indian actor and producer Shah Rukh Khan, the Festival will honor the three outstanding talents to recognize their exceptional contribution to the film industry. The Festival is set to run from 1-10 December and will present 131 feature films and shorts from 61 countries in 41 languages from both established and emerging talent.
From Egypt is actress, singer, megastar, United Nations Goodwill Ambassador and member of the Academy, Yousra. The iconic cinema legend is one of the most recognizable names in the entire region and has been gracing the silver screen for more than 50 years. Since the 1970s, Yousra has starred in some of the most important films in the history of Egyptian cinema, appearing in over 100 films. Her roles in films and TV series are trailblazing and continue to influence and inspire generations to this day.
