Faisal Baltyuor is a pioneering Saudi producer and executive, serving as Chief Executive Officer of the Red Sea Film Foundation. A key architect of Saudi Arabia’s evolving film industry, Faisal brings over two decades of experience spanning production, distribution, and cultural leadership.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Faisal held prominent positions that helped shape the Kingdom’s cinematic landscape, including his role as the first CEO of the Saudi Film Council and the first head of Ithra Cinema. He is also the founder of CineWaves Films, one of the country’s fastest-growing distribution companies, and previously served as CEO of Muvi Studios. Most recently, he launched Riyadh’s first arthouse cinema, Cinehouse — a milestone that reflects his commitment to expanding access to diverse storytelling.
Faisal’s production credits reflect both commercial success and critical acclaim. He executive produced “The Perfect Candidate,” an official selection at the Venice International Film Festival, and “Sattar,” one of Saudi Arabia’s highest-grossing films. He also produced the Netflix Original “From the Ashes,” which ranked among the top 10 most-watched films in 40 countries, and co-produced “Goodbye Julia,” winner of the Prix de la Liberté at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
As CEO, Faisal leads the Foundation’s mission to champion emerging talent and bold cinematic voices from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, Africa, and Asia. Under his leadership, the Foundation continues to drive artistic innovation and sustainable growth across the regional and international film sectors, in alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
