Jowana Mohammed Al-Zahrani is a young Saudi director who was one of the two winners in last year’s Red Sea Film Festival 48-hour Film Production Challenge. After studying audiovisual production at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, she worked for Saudi production houses in many capacities making advertisements before moving towards directing cinematic work. The Last Thread is her first short film.
