Grief-stricken after his father's burial in a Jeddah cemetery, young Alaa struggles to accept the loss. Longing for his father's return, he repeatedly visits the grave with his toys. Though the caretaker continually chases him away, Alaa persists in his hopeful vigil. His tenacity leads to a chance encounter with Uncle Salim, an elderly carpenter who works nearby. Over time, he realizes that death is a natural part of life, and that love, and memories, keep loved ones close forever.
