Egyptian writer-director Jad Chahine studied film-making before working as assistant director to Egyptian film-maker Yousry Nasrallah. His first short film Al Toraa - Call of the Brook, a horror film shot in a single day - was selected for the most recent Cannes Film Festival as part of Cinema of Tomorrow’s Le Cinef section. He is now working on a horror feature.
