She played Mary Jane Watson in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy and earned acclaim for roles in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Marie Antoinette, Melancholia—which won her Best Actress at Cannes—and The Power of the Dog, earning Oscar, SAG, and Golden Globe nominations.
