Dakota Johnson is an acclaimed actress and producer known for her range and sharp creative voice. She made her debut in The Social Network and rose to global fame as Anastasia Steele in the Fifty Shades trilogy, earning a BAFTA Rising Star nomination.
Recent credits include Celine Song’s Materialists and Michael Angelo Covino’s Splitsville, which she also produced through her company TeaTime Pictures and premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. Her upcoming work includes the adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Verity.
Johnson co-founded TeaTime Pictures in 2019, producing acclaimed titles such as Cha Cha Real Smooth, Am I OK?, The Disappearance of Shere Hite, and Daddio, which premiered at Telluride and Toronto. TeaTime also produced the Spirit Award–nominated Roku series SLIP.
Her notable roles span Black Mass, A Bigger Splash, Suspiria, The Peanut Butter Falcon, The Lost Daughter, Persuasion, The High Note, and Bad Times at the El Royale. She has also directed projects including Coldplay’s “Cry Cry Cry” and the short Loser Baby, which premiered at TIFF.
