The Red Sea Fund announces the opening of its fourth funding cycle, Post-Production Cycle 4, on August 6th 2023. The Fund invites filmmakers from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world and Africa to submit their film projects for consideration in this cycle. The deadline for submissions is 21st August 2023.
The Fund offers financial support for films in every stage of development and production. This year’s Production Cycle 3 received over 300 submissions, a significant increase compared to previous years, while eight films received grants in this year’s Post-Production Cycle 1.
Since its inception, the Red Sea Fund has been an ardent supporter of independent and emerging filmmakers, with its funding cycles proving highly successful in their mission to foster innovative storytelling.
Emad Eskander, the head of the Red Sea Fund, expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming cycle: “Films are made in the editing rooms, and we’re thrilled to announce the opening of Post-Production Cycle 4. We’ve seen such incredible talent and creativity in our previous cycles, and we can’t wait to see what filmmakers bring to the table this time around.”
