Red Sea fund
Supporting Development, Production, and Post-Production of Arab and African Films
The Red Sea Fund operates in four cycles: one covering projects in development, one for production, and two for post-production. In 2021, the Fund financed 94 films, and 71 films in 2022. This year, the Fund is proud to be supporting 41 films so far, and counting…
Additionally, the Fund has launched a number of initiatives that aim to support the industry. The Fund Magazine is a yearly newsletter that showcases the achievements and successes of the funded projects, highlighting their stories and the awards they reap. The yearly Fund gala dinner is a yearly gathering during the Festival for all the Fund winners to celebrate their successes. The Fund Session is a panel discussion with the Fund team that is held to provide insights and answer questions related to the Fund cycles and its general activities. And finally, the Fund Tutorials; informative, insightful videos made by the Fund team to help filmmakers through the process of filling out their applications when submitting their projects.
