Shivani joined the Red Sea Film Foundation to spearhead the launch of the festival, with the remit to create an event in Saudi Arabia to promote cross-cultural exchange and foster the growth of the Arab film industry, while also creating and delivering a world-class event.

In her role at the Red Sea Film Foundation, Shivani has overseen the exponential growth of the organization and its flagship event.

With over 25 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry, Shivani has been listed among Variety’s top 500 leaders shaping the global entertainment industry.

Shivani is also a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), and on the Membership Board of Directors of the Golden Globes.

Shivani helped launch Dubai Media City and went on to spearhead both the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) and Gulf Film Festival (GFF) with the development of the industry and launching various funding and co-production initiatives. Shivani has supported over 300 projects while on the board of the Dubai Film & TV Commission.
