Two mutinous bank tellers, both sick of their day jobs, plot a robbery that will have the police baffled. It is a familiar enough starting point, but The Delinquents then proceeds to contradict every convention of a heist movie. The robbery goes smoothly; the robber actually wants to be caught; there are no guns or car chases and, ultimately, nobody really cares about the money. Before his arrest, Moran (Daniel Elias) tells Roman (Esteban Bigliardi) to hide their stolen swag at his favourite riverside picnic spot. There Roman meets a woman who will change his life, after which the film becomes something quite different: contemplative, romantic and as enjoyable as a long, hot day spent by a running stream.
