In-Conversation with Hrithik Roshan

Running Time: 60 minutes

Hrithik, is one of India’s most bankable superstars, having broken multiple box office records in his career, and having earned over $600 million at the box office. He is also considered perhaps the most consummate movie star in Indian cinema with his unique combination acting skills, and his proven proficiency in dancing and in high octane action performances. His debut in 2000 is arguably held as the most sensational debut on Indian film screen ever and broke the guiness book of world records in number of awards that it won for a debutant’s film. Before becoming an actor, Hrithik toiled as a largely uncredited assistant on film projects, gradually progressing from unglamorous tasks such as set-sweeping, tea-fetching, or clapper-loading up to a major role in story development, camera, direction, and editing. He also appeared in films as a child actor in the 1980s, before making his debut as a leading man in Kaho Na.. Pyaar Hai. It was not just a new actor on the block, but a star was born. He became a romantic hero, an action hero and revolutionized the Hindi film industry in significant ways. Never before had any debutant become an overnight sensation of this kind. With the kind of roles Hrithik has played on screen, there is no doubt about his acting prowess and versatility. From playing an intellectually disabled boy in Koi... Mil Gaya (2003) to an Army Officer in Lakshya (2004) to an emperor in Jodhaa Akbar (2008); from playing a quadriplegic in Guzaarish (2010) to a visually impaired man in Kaabil (2017), he has played diverse characters effortlessly with his sheer talent. In 2019, Hrithik treated his audience with two diverse characters by playing the role of Mathematician Anand Kumar in Super 30, followed by an undercover spy agent in War. Super 30 won commercial and critical acclaim, while War emerged to be the highest grosser of the year. In 2022, Hrithik Roshan turned to playing an anti-hero character in Pushkar-Gayatri directorial 'Vikram Vedha'. The actor's tryst with playing an out and out gray character was well received by audience and critics alike. Roshan, will next be seen in India's first aerial action film titled 'Fighter' directed by Siddharth Anand, co-staring Deepika Padukone. The film is set to release on January 25th 2024.
