The Premier Film Industry Event in the Arab World
The fourth edition of the Red Sea Souk will find its new home on the edges of Jeddah’s old town Al Balad.
Running from 7-11 December 2024 the Red Sea Souk is the place to discover the people, projects and ideas defining the Saudi and Arab markets integration into the global industry.
Opening up this year to include projects and experts from the Asian industry makes the Souk the optimum central point to find important connections, discover original projects and access the vibrant new Saudi film scene.
Following on from the great success stories of festival selections and award nominations for previous editions, the 2024 Project Market will present up to thirty projects in development or production and a works-in-progress showcase for projects in post production, from both upcoming and established African, Asian and Arab directors.
The call for entries to the 2024 Project Market is now open for projects by directors with Saudi or Arab nationality or origin; with African nationality; or with Asian nationality.
The deadlines are:
- For projects in development or production – 15 July 2024
- For projects in post-production – 29 August 2024
The Souk Talks program (previously Red Sea 360º) will curate a series of high level conversations on key industry topics whilst Souk Connections will give access to established industry professionals who kindly make themselves available for short one-on-one meetings with the industry’s next generation.
Souk Talents runs throughout the Souk dates, encouraging new talents and nurturing aspiring filmmakers through a curated programme of events and networking opportunities.
Our world-class Exhibitor Area continues to engage the key industry players showcasing their films and opportunities, hosting meetings and developing new relationships. Each day at the Souk will close with the Souk Social, an information daily networking space for delegate to mix and mingle.
2024 sees a new home for film, for the festival and for the Souk and we look forward to seeing you there.
