Mohammed is a globally renowned award-winning film producer, known for acclaimed Hollywood films such as \u201cArbitrage\u201d starring Richard Gere, \u201c99 Homes\u201d starring Andrew Garfield, and \u201cCrisis\u201d starring Academy Award\u00ae-winner Gary Oldman.<\/p>

After joining the Red Sea Film Foundation, Al Turki dedicated his time to spearheading the Festival\u2019s expansion and building on launching its first edition. As part of this remit, Al Turki is establishing the Foundation as a launch pad for up-and-coming artists from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, Africa, and the Global South, securing its status as a world-class event on the international film calendar.<\/p>

Under his leadership, the first three editions of the Red Sea International Film Festival drew over 35,000 visitors. The Festival was the Red Sea Film Foundation\u2019s representative at the 76th Cannes Film Festival in 2023, with 9 Red Sea-backed films in the official selection including the opening night film \u201cJeanne du Barry\u201d.<\/p>

In 2021, Al Turki launched the Red Sea Film Festival\u2019s \u201cWomen in Cinema\u201d, an initiative to shed light on inspiring women in front of and behind the camera, and partnered up with Vanity Fair Europe to host the celebratory galas in Cannes, Venice, and Jeddah. This year, the Festival supported over 33 female directors.<\/p>

Al Turki is gearing up to lead another milestone in the development of the film industry during the fourth edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival, which will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from December 5 to December 15, 2024.<\/p>
