They will compete for cash awards <strong>$25,000 for the Jury Special Mention Award; $35,000 for development; $100,000 for production<\/strong>, granted by the <strong>Project Market Jury<\/strong>.<\/p><p><strong>The Red Sea Souk Project Market<\/strong> will also present the <strong>12 Red Sea Lodge<\/strong> projects by Saudi, Arab and African directors, developed during a year through intensive workshops and in partnership with the Torino Film Lab.<br \/><strong>Four Production Prizes of<\/strong> <strong>$50,000<\/strong> <strong>each<\/strong> will be awarded by the <strong>Project Market Jury<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Participating projects are also eligible for additional awards funded by the Red Sea Souk sponsors and partners.<\/p><p>All projects will be presented to the Red Sea Souk industry guests via two pitching sessions of in-person and video-pitch presentations by director and producer teams.<\/p><p>In addition to the presentations, one-to-one meetings are organized between all project holders and industry guests from December 3-5, 2023. The Red Sea Souk Project Market, the film market arm, takes place alongside the Red Sea International Film He is currently working on his second feature drama \u201cSAIFY\u201d 2024, which is undergoing post-production.<\/p><p>Wael ventured to filmmaking in 2012, his debut feature film \u201cCarnival City\u201d was selected in the first edition of Red Sea International Film Festival 2020. He has produced films by his partner, Rachid Bouchared, and other directors such as Bruno Dumont, Roschdy Zem, Youssef Chahine, Ziad Doueri, Karim Dridi, among others. She develops fiction in its broadest sense, combining imagination and rigor without compromise or self-censorship.<br \/>Lamia accompanies directors in their creative processes, including Hicham Lasri, Narjiss Nejjar, Oliver Laxe\u2019s &#8220;Mimosas&#8221; (Grand Prix, Cannes Film Festival\u2019s Critics\u2019 Week), B\u00e1lint Kenyeres\u2019 &#8220;Tegnap&#8221; (Locarno Film Festival), Talal Selhami\u2019s &#8220;Achoura,&#8221; winner of the Best Film Award at Hardline Festival and a Special Mention from the Jury at Sitges Fantastic Film Festival and Ismael Ferroukhi&#8217;s film Mica (Festival du Film Francophone d&#8217;Angoul\u00eame 2020). Both were widely acclaimed by critics. Several of his short films have also been awarded at major festivals in France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Burkina Faso, Canada, and the United States.<br \/>Oumar aspires to see the emergence of a big film industry in Senegal. In 2014, he created \u2018Up Courts-M\u00e9trages\u2019, a training and incubation program that mentors producers and writers\/directors, and helps shape the cinema industry in Africa, with an international reference.
