Red Sea Fund

The Red Sea Fund is a funding program provided by the Red Sea Film Foundation to support the local, Arab, and African markets, currently exploring the Asian scene. It has unleashed the biggest funding boost for the film industry, backing over 100 directors and 250 films, turning cinematic visions into reality. Building on that success, the Red Sea Fund has opened its doors for the fourth year in 2024.

Funding opportunities encompass the three film stages: development, production, and post-production in four cycles. Narrative, animation, and documentary features, episodic and Saudi shorts; if you have a project, the Red Sea Fund wants to hear about it. The Fund accepts project submissions from Saudi, Arab, and African filmmakers to introduce exciting films and daring talents to audiences worldwide.
